Outside of those two QoL features, I’m pretty good. My money is on Last Epoch, but you'll need to be able to deal with the graphics looking a little outdated. In Wolcen, Minions are trash. Hence wondering which is better in terms of overall content/gameplay? Finally, the skill development is very interesting with (almost) every skill having its own elaborate passive tree. Last Epoch development seems to be more promising too.

Animations and gameplay felt a little clunky and skill development is rather bland.

At beta, I feel Last Epoch has way more substance, depth and dynamic than Wolcen. Fix the graphics and character animations and this will be one of the top ARPG’s. Wolcen received feedbacks and bug reports from their testers which upon game release were still unresolved! It’s alright to do the eye candy at the end of development. MTX are very likely to be implemented prior to launch. Have you ever asked yourself, "Should I buy this game? Ive been playing ARPGs since Diablo 1 as a young teenager and have thousands and thousands of hours in PoE and D2/D3… both big and small I’ve played em all, usually can tell right away if these other projects will go the distance [PoE], be alright but never really take off [Grim Dawn], or be basically dead in the water [Wolcen]. Last epoch has more depth, diversity and substance. Our priority is getting Last Epoch ready for an official launch next year - and that means focusing on content such as classes, specialization trees, and endgame. If you read the reviews on steam, one of the biggest complaints is the lack of visual polish/clunky animations. I’m honestly pretty content with the visuals where they are, as combat feels very smooth and fluid (to me) which is infinitely more of a factor in my enjoyment. I also came from D1/2 ,Sacred 1/2 and TQ and I’ve been hunting for a replacement for years now.

My opinion on graphics for last epoch is graphics are fine . Thanks for your input, sounds like Last Epoch is the way to go for now! Wolcen offers the possibility of cool hybrid builds. I just started playing this yesterday, and I already feel like it’s going to be something special. Focus on getting out content and making skills and builds fun and exciting . And a very huge amount of players will only just look at the graphics before even considering to get to know something about mechanics and content. And welcome by the way. the gameplay is good, but what makes the gameplay really good? PoE is a great game and I am sure many of us play both, but it is suffering from it’s own success at the moment and has let itself snowball into a gotta-go-fast-meta-slave mentality, constantly adding layers of mechanics and new systems just for the sake of adding them.

Its been talked about before. wolcen is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful. yep the overall design is great, huge potential here. Last epoch has more depth, diversity and substance. (even if there is quite a lot already), Last Epoch is scheduled to release in Q4 of this year. I hope so and definitely feel the potential, when I find a game I truly love I will play nothing but it for years at a time. I think it's fun. I don’t know if LE is the one or not but I can say for sure that gameplay feels way better than how it looks like. Thankfully GGG already stated the next league will be much more simple/basic so many of us are looking forward to that. Cookies help us deliver our Services. Haven tried epoch, but wolcen is a ♥♥♥♥ , better not wasting your money for wolcen ...there's alot arpg better than wolcen .. Wolcen is not available for the MAC, a big PLUS for LAST EPOCH!
