I find myself in an odd position in my thoughts about this.
For that matter I am a fan of developing working relationships with competitors so that if shit like this happens you feel as though you CAN pick up the phone and talk. Other high-end nylon 6 yarns exist in the marketplace as unbranded items. On the same day that RBTR first gained knowledge of a potential Dutchwaregear lawsuit, via an email from Hyosung on October 17, 2018, RBTR removed ALL ROBIC-branded fabrics at issue from its website.
As I’ve said many times over, we have absolutely nothing to hide in this ordeal. All invoices, emails, and marketing material sent by the fabric mill RBTR was purchasing from represented that all fabrics contained yarn approved for ROBIC branding. 6. I did not and still do not want this fight. Kyle has not said anything bad towards Dutch or his company. I simply ask that we acknowledge that, respect it, and never forget that we’re all human beings with feelings in the end. I'll take my business elsewhere. The public face is "Santa Dutch" but there are reasons why people in the industry are proud supporters of RBTR and others in the industry (like Hammock Gear) have moved their business away from Dutch's influence. If you were to google search the web, you would find an almost unlimited number of fabric vendors outside of RBTR with “diamond ripstop nylon” for sale in the exact same manner.
Ask questions about hammock gear. It's important to note that the name ROBIC is not a fabric or material in and of itself, but rather a brand name created by Hyosung for one of their high-end nylon 6 yarns. Will it affect how much I spent at RBTR, less likely.

If he wins, he still loses. I believe this fabric is plenty strong for its intended application. As I've always understood the term "ripstop," it is a fabric with cross-woven threads that help inhibit the spread of a tear- meaning, if the fabric does tear at one point, the ripstop grid will aid in making sure it doesn't spread across the length of the fabric (like a crack in your windshield).
