In some parts of the story, I got into Simon’s skin, such as the part when he was running away from the sandkings. In the ending of the episode, a colony of sandkings is shown surviving in the wilderness. These semi-sapient insectoid creatures go through metamorphic changes similar to other known insects except for the sandkings, metamorphosis also means change in their intelligence level and not only in their physical appearance.
