WHAT ARE THE DISADVANTAGES OF THE .380 POCKET PISTOL?

If you need a tiny gun and have weak hands, I suggest a Beretta Tomcat.

These flaws include, but are not limited to: .380 pocket pistols have a well-deserved reputation for having some of the worst trigger pulls of any semi-automatic pistols on the market. . But the little 22s are for fun plinking and not a great choice for defense. Lost about $40 in the trade- not too bad.

The sights on the LCP II are built into the top of the slide like its predecessor. I musta got lucky. My support hand thumb sticks out about half an inch in front of the muzzle. It’s a great cartridge, just capable of being “enough gun” in the hand of the inexperienced, and plenty of gun in the hand of the expert.

Just too many people having issues for me. While it’s small and might not be for every shooter.

I might hold off a bit more. Ruger decided there were improvements that could be made in the LCP to make it better suited not only for law enforcement use, but also for civilian carriers.

I bought one of these and I do not recommend this gun. “Ruger’s smash hit is….popular……with the Special Forces community.” Overall, the trigger on the LCP II makes it infinitely easier to shoot than the original LCP.

No part of the grip is rubberized or soft, but the aggressive and almost complete texturing of all of the grip surfaces means that the pocket pistol won’t snag when being pulled from said pocket, but also locks firmly in the hand for rapid shots at close range.

By that time, it was rare to get a full 5 rounds to go through the gun without a malfunction, significantly lengthening the time it took to shoot groups.

This issue I am having is that when you seat a magazine with the slide locked back, using the same or less force than is required for my LCP Custom or Glock 43, the top bullet in the magazine is rising up just enough that the round will not chamber. When you insert a fresh magazine, it will be easier to rack the slide this way as well. You have to mentally get past the idea that it’s not a Zamak POS because it seems visually so similar to the Umarex crap, but it’s not like those at all. My Smith 340PD has a slightly larger profile but weighs about the same as the LCP and is just as easy to carry. Are LCPs common as an easy pocket carry BUG in that setting?
