Yeah it just jumps one of the 'green' inscriptions to 'blue' but dosnt directly translate - iv nerfed a many a gun by turning a good green into a terrible blue. The chest does not Upgrade the inscription... it replaces it with a new one. The inscription it replaces is random. I have never had it add inscriptions, I didn't think that was possible tbh.

It randomizes rarity too so you most likely will lose the rare inscription. If you scope and hit a target, you'll damage 3 targets instead of just 1. © Valve Corporation.

i expected the 'upgrade' to make the numbers bigger, If you have no Green it just changes Blue to a different Blue as well. That means for every talent/upgrade you acquire with the Soul Essence currency, you’ll go up one level. are you sure? Does anyone know what the max number of inscriptions a weapon can have? This game can be played by single player, or Co-op up to four. You can upgrade a total of two times for each craftsman you find. When a chest offers to upgrade a Normal inscription, it will only upgrade a Normal inscription. So no upgrade on that either.

Gunfire Reborn. It needs to say "Upgrades the QUALITY of an inscription" not upgrades an inscription. hm, glad to know this. The inscription it replaces is random. If you have no Normal inscriptions on the weapon, it will do nothing. If you scope in, and look at 3 different targets (they will highlight), then shoot, you will hit all three. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. Players can control heros with various abilities to experience diverse Build gameplay, use randomly dropped weapons to explore random levels. Inscriptions have tiers normal, rare and legendary. +5 weapons will automatically have 1 of them be a Gemini inscription. It should also reroll all inscriptions, with a very low chance of upgrading one inscription one level. I always roll a weapon with as many inscriptions as possible, and I've never noticed it randomly give fewer inscriptions than the weapon initially had. Red chests may also offer to replace all inscriptions by the same amount of random inscriptions. Just scope in, shoot something, instant damage on 3 enemies.

It will have no effect if the weapon has no Normal inscriptions.

They don't need to be in your scope view, you don't need to highlight anything else.

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic. I have went from 3 to 1 inscriptions before, so it seems to be a total reroll of all the inscriptions listed by the chest. Upgrading a normal inscription (green) means trading one random green inscription for a blue (rare) inscription.

Reroll always has the same amount of inscriptions.

They don't need to be in your scope view, you don't need to highlight anything else. ... Gunfire Reborn isn't particularly daring in any way but is still a roguelite(a genre notorious for being pure indie territory).

I've definitely had a chest reroll off my gemini inscription. This is the most fun sniper inscription in the game, imo. I have the worst luck with that crap, also never reroll anything that has a gold inscription. When you choose to reroll an inscription at the red chests, how exactly does it work? ... its not really an upgrade if it changes it though is it? Purchasing these upgrades the +X value of your gun (damage boost), and if your weapon has a Gemini Inscription (unlocked through the left side of the talent tree), you can reforge the inscription into another one. Crypto. Gunfire Reborn is an adventure level-based game featured with FPS, Roguelite and RPG. protip: if you level a weapon to 5 and then replace all inscriptions from one of those chests itll get a gemini effect.

This is the most fun sniper inscription in the game, imo. Would be cool if it randomizes the inscriptions but kept the same number and rarity. It's turned a worthless Scapel into a god tier weapon before.

Unlike most RPG-type games, the leveling system revolves around spending a currency on talents instead of collecting experience. I believe that's how it worked when I was fiddling with it. When it offers to replace all inscriptions, this does have a chance to roll for higher level inscriptions as well. If you have no Normal inscriptions on the weapon, it will do nothing. Red chests may offer to upgrade one randomly picked Normal inscription to a random Rare inscription. With a very low chance of upgrading inscriptions. I've always had it result in the same number of inscriptions. If you’re trying to level up quickly in Gunfire Reborn, there are a couple of tricks to take advantage of. there does need to be a straight upgrade option as well, reroll is nice, but sometimes you just find the perfect gun. If you scope and hit a target, you'll damage 3 targets instead of just 1. I only use this option(for all of the reasons listed above) when a crappy weapon has dropped nearby and I've got extra cash to spare. When a chest offers to upgrade a Normal inscription, it will only upgrade a Normal inscription. Don't know if thats intended but I know for a fact I've lost Gemini inscriptions because of this chest. This should use one of your "crafting" charges, so without the additional upgrades perk you can level a weapon twice, reroll inscriptions twice, or level a weapon and reroll inscriptions once.

Only real use is getting a gemini early but its not really worth the effort unless your having someone else in your crew make a gemini as well. Also I've seen moments where I try to Upgrade a "Normal" Inscription which I assumed meant on of the green ones, but ended up losing my Blue Inscription which I assumed was rarer and IMO shouldn't be touched if I'm swapping 1 Normal inscription.

that needs rewording.

All rights reserved. Could a weapon with 1 inscription suddenly have 4 and vice versa? You can upgrade a total of two times for each craftsman you find.

that implies that it's keeping the same affix but making it stronger.
