In the end, she did nothing to liberate those who are truly mad, and simply ignored them as if they are not part of the equation. I also found this edition confusing, as some areas have clearly been untouched since the 1970s and there are some overwhelmingly modern updates, but it isn't made clear which is which so it was just an odd reading experience.
